Job Summary : The Pharmacist, under the direction of the Pharmacy Director is responsible for all aspects of the Community Health Pharmacy which is set up as a closed-door pharmacy under the auspices of HAWC.
S(he) is responsible for the purchasing, preparation, packaging and distribution of approved drugs, while adhering to applicable federal and state laws.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Demonstrated knowledge of the pharmacy profession
- Proficient in all aspects of pharmacy operations and procedures
- Sound knowledge of pharmacology and drug treatments
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations relating to pharmacology
- Knowledge of IOAD's purchasing and inventory control
- Knowledge of insurance and third party reimbursement mechanisms
- Knowledge of an electronic medical record system; when applicable
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and skill in operating various office equipment
- Ability to provide consultation to providers and patients regarding effects of drugs and interactions with other drugs
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to fill prescriptions accurately
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints
- Ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
- Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinics and overall HAWC's organization
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, etc.
- Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately
- Ability to work with others and supervise others in the Director's absence
- Ability to manage multiple assignments / projects and meet appropriate time-frames
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, most importantly patient financial and medical information

Education and Experience : Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Certified and licensed by the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
Must have a minimum of two years practice experience.
