We are hiring a 2nd Shift Assistant Manufacturing Supervisor to onboard new employees, complete necessary audits, and perform non-conforming product support.
What You Will Do :
- Onboarding of new Pack Op employees (temp & permanent hire)
- Actively engage and support manufacturing employees
- Support and promote continuous improvement, engagement and other company initiatives
- Conduct manufacturing process compliance audits. Engage employees in non-conformance findings. Re-instruct, retrain, and document the findings.
- Support QA with non-conforming product (hold tickets, backtracking, sorting, etc.).
- Advise Mfg Team Supervisor of any concerns as they relate to production.
- Ensure that employees comply with all Health, Safety and Regulatory programs.
- Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's certification by supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
- Assist in other areas of production as needed.
- Ensure machines and equipment are kept clean.
- Oversee the general housekeeping of the production areas and ensure that supplies are in the appropriate places.
Success in This Role Will Require :
- Must be able to lead, motivate, and train a group of people.
- Utilize information systems.
- Understand basic instructions, rules, policies, and procedures.
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
- Team player.
- Adheres to all workplace laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
- Ability to accurately read work orders and identify proper packaging supplies listed.
- Must be a quality-conscious, detail-orientated individual.
- Good problem-solving skills.
What You'll Bring (Qualifications) :
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- 1+ year supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Six months of prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic computer / data entry skills using a mouse and / or keyboard are required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read, write, and accurately perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Good communication skills : oral and written.
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions accurately.
- Ability to lift / push / pull up to 40 lbs.
- Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime / weekends as needed is a job requirement.
- Ability to inspect production for quality defects.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work up to 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to train Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm for two months. The regular schedule will be Monday - Friday, 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 00 pm
