Manager I, Teacher Selection (226 Days)-(RTP20240731-006)
Description
- Work with campus-based leaders and other supervisors to develop plans to keep schools fully staffed, ensure job specifications and desired candidate qualities are clear, and provide feedback on the status of the candidate interviewing and selection.
- Manage district-wide teacher recruitment initiatives and oversee sourcing of talented individuals to work at Dallas ISD .
- Plan and execute the district job fairs alongside the teacher selection model.
- Manage the development of the district’s recruiting and retention budget including plans for all types and levels of campus-based positions.
- Organize recruiting trips for the district and participate in recruiting fairs at universities and other organizations.
- Oversee maintenance of applicant profiles to serve principals and ensure the participation of principals in the hiring decision.
- Identify, research, and create non-traditional sources and methods of attracting, recruiting and retaining talent.
- Manage special projects as assigned by Staffing Executive Director such as reports, district job fairs, manage recruitment promotional items, and respond to open records requests.
- Oversee special initiatives to support existing District / University agreements of cooperation.
- Establish and maintain cooperative efforts between all necessary departments and stakeholders to promote the integration of district systems in support of the teacher and campus leaders such as principal talent pipelines.
- Provide leadership and expertise to staff in the tasks of creating reports and other documents related to talent pipeline initiatives and performance trends, utilizing effective technology and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University in a directly related field.
- Two to three years of staffing / employment or directly related experience.
