Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM (Spring); hours vary in Winter
Location : Mendota Heights
Salary Information :
- Base Pay : $80,000-90,000 / year DOQ
- Bonus : $10,000-40,000 / year

Summary of the Position :
The Irrigation Business Manager is responsible for the overall management and oversight of each irrigation crew, including quality control, scheduling, training, and hiring.
Goal :
Effectively manage all Irrigation Crews to perform work safely and efficiently while exceeding customer expectations in quality and service.
The irrigation team operates as its own division while collaborating with construction and maintenance divisions to deliver premium products to our clients.
Duties :
- Establish and meet key performance indicators for irrigation sales, performance, and client retention.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and team members via phone, text, email, or other appropriate technology to uphold high standards and foster strong relationships.
- Develop training protocols for all Irrigation staff in basic water management services (e.g., Spring Start-ups, Site Inspections, Winterizations).
- Schedule and oversee both in-house crews and subcontractor crews.
- Ensure contractual services are completed for each site.
- Provide weekly updates on hours used and track inventory and materials.
- Maximize job site efficiencies while maintaining employee morale and safety.
- Estimate services and assist the sales team in selling work.
- Contribute to the design process for irrigation-related items.
- Evaluate crew performance and resolve any conflicts.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients when responding to customer needs or questions.
- Be flexible in scheduling and supervising changing crews as the season progresses.
- Adapt well to schedule changes and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Work effectively with all crew members and multiple supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time.
Job Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape Water Management Operations preferred.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Proficiency in computer skills, creative problem-solving, personnel management, organization, and customer service preferred.
- Bilingual - Spanish is a plus.
Educational Requirements :
Four-year College or University degree / certificate, or four (or more) years of related experience and / or training.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to lift / carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly, move around the worksite, and engage in extended physical activity (walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting) up to 100% of the workday.
Work Environment :
- Exposure to exterior elements (e.g., pollen, chemicals, cold, heat).
- Working in all weather conditions and terrains.
