The Corporate Auto Billing Specialist will effectively review and manage the correct billing of all charges for assigned clinics on a monthly basis by analyzing flow sheets, reports, and coordinating efforts with the clinical staff.

Schedule : Five 8-hour shifts starting at 7 : 30am

Compensation : Pay ranges from $18-$19 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

Monthly Creation of Billable Charges

  • Analyze daily and monthly reports in comparison to flow sheets provided by clinical staff for accuracy prior to billing.
  • Maintain good and timely communication by phone and email with patient's home clinic personnel regarding errors, outstanding billable days, etc.
  • Conduct month end processes and close clinics by reconciling treatment totals, reviewing monthly charges, resolving discrepancies, and reviewing other monthly reports.
  • Committing to month end close which may require additional hours that may exceed that of a normal schedule.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure regarding proper medication and treatment documentation.
  • Collects and Maintains NDC Records for Assigned Clinics

  • Review, enter, and coordinate updating current NDC codes being used at designated clinics.
  • File and maintain updated forms supplied by clinical staff regarding current and updated NDC codes.
  • Reset and Unlock Previously Billed Charges

  • Communicate with the clinical staff regarding requests to unlock billed treatments from previous months and / or weeks.
  • Collect all documentation for changes to ensure changes are properly recorded in the medical and billing record for the patient.
  • Unlock charges, per protocol, and enter electronic notes on patient account explaining why changes are happening.
  • Communicate with clinical staff to make sure medical changes are resolved according to documentation provided and relock treatments.
  • Make appropriate revenue adjustments on account and coordinate with collections specialist to make sure corrected claims go to the payers.

  • Education / Training :

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of experience in a similar field or an Associate's degree and one year of experience in a similar field or an equivalent combination for education and experience.
