This position of Operations Manager acts as the site leader overseeing daily operations, ensuring that all aspects of the business are performing smoothly, while also working collaboratively on company initiatives and goals.
Essential Functions
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange operational areas, catalog goods, plan workflows and process shipments
- Supervise, coach and facilitate training of technical and warehouse workforce in the remote office
- Resolve any arising internal or external incidents or complaints
- Works with HR department to ensure safety standards are being met
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Analyze and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices, coordinating corrections as needed
- Generate commercial invoices for international shipments
- Monitor parts flow from initial request to fulfillment
- Plan and forecast inventory to meet service level agreements
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
- Coordinate with OEM and non-OEM manufacturers on acquiring new parts
- Lead inventory analysis as determined by company management
- Report and analyze data to maintain metrics, assess performance and implement improvements
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes
- Generate and contribute to SOP documentation
- Travel to company HQ in Cleveland, OH 2-4 times per year
- Employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor
Qualifications
- BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in standard logistics software
- Experience in an ERP (NetSuite preferred) is ideal
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS. Also have experience in Microsoft Office applications ie : Word and Excel
- A logical and systematic approach to work
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- Ability to take and pass a background check
