TRUCK DRIVER- CLASS B CDL

Truck Driver- Class B CDL

We are looking for skilled Class B CDL Drivers that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills.

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to help meet the needs of customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe and courteous manner.

We seek highly motivated and experienced Drivers with a background in delivering construction and or industrial products and providing customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

• Must hold a valid Commercial Class A or Class B Drivers License
• Applicants will be subject to an MVR review and, must have a driving record in good standing
• Previous CDL Driving experience
• Positive attitude
• Excellent verbal communication
• Professional appearance
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
• An ability to function well as part of a team
• Diligent attention to detail
• Diligent attention to safety

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely transport product to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Follow all corporate operational procedures and QC Standards
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain the service and appearance of truck
• Follow delivery / pickup instructions from Warehouse Manager and / or Sales Manager
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and / or Sales Manager

Education, Experience and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Drivers license Class (B)
• Current Medical Card
• 1 year of experience

Regulatory Compliance

• Knowledge of GVWRs, state / federal regulations regarding height / weight maximums, & winch operations
• OSHA familiarity / training
• Acceptable DOT Drug Test History
• Drivers will be subject to DOT regulated random drug and alcohol testing

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and while securing your load
• Frequent use of foot / feet
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
• Frequent pushing and pulling of truck side curtain walls
• Frequent use of winch & rachet strap tiedowns for load securement
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and / or fumes
