Patient s placementis determined based on bed availability not by reason for admittance.Staffing ratio in ICU is 1 : 2 with the occasional 1 : 3 for ICU patients.
Low census may result in floating to CVCU, which is a 1 : 4 staffing, or to ED to care for hold patients with the same patient ratios.
RNs wear navy blue scrubs.
