The Data Solutions Delivery Leader will be responsible for delivering complex technology solutions that advance Globe Lifes Data Strategy roadmap.
Candidates must have a proven record of delivering solutions within a complex and maturing Data and Analytics program. Success in this role will require strong experience and understanding of BOTH the business and technical aspects of each solution.
The Data Solutions Delivery Leader will be a key member of the Data Strategy Center of Excellence and will lead technical product teams in the delivery of technical solutions.
In this role, you will also work closely with other leaders in the areas of Business Architecture, Technical Architecture, Program Management, and Executive Management.
Candidates should have strong team and cross-disciplinary leadership skills and complex delivery management experience. In addition, the candidate should have strong communication (written and oral) skills in order to collaborate with product owners, administrative support teams, and serve on the Data Center of Excellence team in order to align business and product roadmaps to Corporate strategic initiatives.
Will be accountable for delivering enterprise cross-functional, multi-disciplinary solutions from intake through delivery, overseeing release train for multiple projects, and maintaining post launch product and administrative support.
The successful candidate is comfortable working in an environment where priorities change and meets the challenges where business value must be realized.
- Provide holistic direction for technical product teams (including direct, indirect and matrixed) to align product roadmaps to overall Data Program roadmap.
- Communicate effectively with Data COE Governance committee, EPMO, IT, and executive stakeholders regarding Data Strategy engagements.
- Oversee Data COE initiatives to ensure objectives and strategy are achieved and resources are managed appropriately.
- Continuously monitor technical solutions to address business challenges such as improvement of development, processes and governance standards.
- Monitor KPIs to inform value realization for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment to prioritize and deliver value-based reliable solutions.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills to build trusted relationships across the different organizations within the Enterprise;
negotiate and remove roadblocks and work to ensure product and program execution are progressing according to approved roadmaps, and teams are working together cohesively.
- Communicate effectively with Data COE Governance committee, EPMO, IT, and executive stakeholders regarding Data Strategy engagements.
- Develop and maintain Solutions Delivery charter and planning documents.
- Coach, mentor, and counsel direct reports and team members.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Data and Analytics technologies including Data Lakes, Warehouses, and Advanced Analytics platforms and BI tools
- Strong understanding of business process architecture and data governance
- Extensive experience in managing an iterative delivery methodology
- Has built highly scalable data-driven marketing applications that source data from multiple source systems
- Ability to oversee program management across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ability to estimate development work if required as well as validate outputs from the product teams
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience in preventing troubled projects and / or experience in successfully getting them back on track
- Working knowledge of marketing concepts (online and offline) preferred
- Working knowledge of cloud and on-premise data integration, data and analytics platforms preferred
Required Knowledge & Experience
- 10 15+ years overall experience in leadership and managing implementation and operational program execution resources to meet business deliverables
- At least 3+ years of experience working in an advanced Data and Analytics environment
- Has built complex solutions that have been critical in advancing the companys Data and Analytics capabilities
- Proven experience in leading large, complex, multi-disciplinary Data and Analytics efforts through completion; team sizes must have been larger than 25 people
- Strong leadership, technical and organizational skills; self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in a consulting role from a Data and Analytics perspective preferred
- PMI Certification is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of the financial services industry will be a plus
- Vendor management will be a plus
