We are seeking a Patient Registration Specialist in the healthcare industry located in Shelby Township, Michigan. This role involves handling patient registrations and maintaining their records in a meticulous fashion.
It is a contract employment opportunity that requires an individual who can work independently and adapt to new skills rapidly.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of patient registrations.
- Conduct reconciliation against census data.
- Keep track of patient admission and discharge logs.
- Scan and index registration forms into the Cerner system.
- Handle data entry tasks related to patient registration and healthcare administration.
- Utilize Cerner Technologies and EHR SYSTEM for managing patient records.
- Assist in billing functions and authorizations related to patient registrations.
- Carry out document scanning tasks to maintain digital records.
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate customer credit records.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Cerner Technologies
- Experience with EHR SYSTEM
- Knowledge of Authorizations and Billing Functions within the healthcare sector
- Prior experience in Healthcare Administration
- Strong Data Entry skills
- Ability to perform Document Scanning tasks efficiently
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
