Atlanta Design Group (ADG), a Norcross-based full-service Interior Design and Design-Build support company has an immediate opening in our ADG Construction division for an Estimator / Project Manager with experience in working with Division 10 construction products to include mirrors, shower doors, bath hardware, etc.

for multi-family and single-family residences.

Qualified candidates must take direction well, take initiative, possess an affinity for numbers, very detailed, high-energy level, be well organized, proactive, and possess a willing and capable attitude.

Must also be a self-starter and self-motivated with a dependable and stable work record. Ability to work independently is a must! Company will train the right person in estimating.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze plans, blueprints, specifications, proposals, bids and construction documents extracting Division 10 related products and prepare time and cost estimates based on final plans and specifications.
• Prepare bid packages.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustment to cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Review materials and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost effective to produce or purchase components.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of supplier, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Works and coordinates bids closely with inside sales staff and installation management to coordinate projects to successful conclusion meeting all pricing targets.
• Submits bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
• Consistently follows up on submitted bids and budgets with owners and general contractors to close business.

Knowledge and Skills :

• Strong knowledge and experience in estimating Division 10 or construction related products.
• Has a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned.
• Must possess a strong mathematical ability
• Must have a solid knowledge of commercial multifamily construction.
• Knowledge of design / build construction procedures and methods.
• Must be able to read construction blueprints and related documents
• Knowledge of laws and ordinances as well as building codes.
• Degree in Construction Management or related are of study or minimum of 3 years as a division 10 Estimator or Project Manager
• Strong management capabilities, commitment to detail, excellent verbal and written presentation skills
• Ability to deal with architects, engineers, and general contractors.
• Possess strong analytical skills

• Hours- 8 : 00 am 5 : 00 pm M-F
• Salary Position : $85,000 - $95,000 to start with a 2.5% commission on GROSS sales.
