Position Overview :
The Sr. FP&A Analyst will be responsible for developing financial plans, performing detailed analyses, preparing reports, and providing insights into the financial operations of the organization.
This highly visible role reports directly to the executive team and requires a deep understanding of financial planning, analysis, accounting, and reporting.
The role is predominantly remote with occasional on-site meetings in the LA / OC area.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Planning and Analysis :
- Develop and maintain scalable financial models and plans to assist in decision-making and forecasting.
- Provide insightful and timely analysis on financial performance and key business metrics.
- Prepare accurate and detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Strategic Support :
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide data-driven insights and support strategic investment decisions.
- Lead financial assessments and modeling efforts, including what-if scenarios and forecasting using advanced tools and methodologies.
- Participate in the development of department and regional budgets, making recommendations based on financial analysis.
Data Management and Reporting :
- Manage, analyze, and interpret large datasets using technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, and SQL.
- Maintain accurate financial records and develop methodologies, dashboards, and models to enhance reporting and budgeting processes.
- Conduct variance analysis, investigate drivers and trends, and provide commentary on indirect spend budgets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including Marketing, Accounting, and other business units.
- Support field operations by analyzing and interpreting operational / financial performance and recommending improvements.
- Act as an internal consultant to senior management on financial results, analyzing variances, and improving performance.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in healthcare, software, or direct-to-consumer industries is a plus.
- Experience within growth marketing channels or subscription businesses is highly desirable.
Skills :
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
