Job Title : School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location : Stuart, FLEmployment Type : Full-Time / Part-TimeJob Description : I am seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide specialized speech and language services to students from PreK-12.
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student success in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities : Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals through the creation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provide direct therapy to students in individual and group settings, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, receptive / expressive language, and social communication.
Collaborate with teachers, special education personnel, and other staff to incorporate speech-language strategies into students' daily routines and academic plans.
Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes.Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input on student progress, therapy goals, and necessary accommodations or modifications.
Consult with parents and caregivers, providing strategies and resources to support speech and language development at home.
Stay updated with best practices in speech-language pathology and apply research-based interventions in the school setting.
Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Provide professional development to staff on speech-language strategies to support communication in the classroom.Qualifications : Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid Florida SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success.
