Extended Day Staff Position

Position Summary : The Extended Day Staff is a part-time, seasonal, benefits ineligible position that reports to Director of Extended Day in support of the school’s Extended Day Program. This program includes auxiliary childcare and enrichment programs of the Fay School such as the Stay at Fay Extended Day program, the After School Activities program, Early Day at Fay program, and the school’s summer camp FAYcation. The extended Day Staff provides flexible childcare to create an environment conducive to learning and personal growth. The position provides supervision and brings a creative and energetic spirit encouraging children to learn through activities and experiences. The Extended Day Staff establishes effective working relationships with children, staff, and families.

Responsibilities include the following :

• Provide supervision and guidance in accordance with program policies and objectives, suitable to the age and needs of the students.
• Understands the mission and policies of the school and, when questions or concerns arise, raises them with appropriate colleagues and supervisors.
• Collaborates with colleagues in the design and implementation of the programs.
• Models integrity, curiosity, responsibility, creativity, and respect for all persons as well as an appreciation for racial, cultural, religious and gender diversity.
• Monitors student safety and always maintains supervision ratios.
• Supports the school and its Leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
