Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT certifications for 12-hour day / evening shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital diagnostic imaging department performing computed tomography procedures
  • 12-hour shifts with start times of 6 : 00 AM, 8 : 30 AM, or 10 : 00 AM
  • Every 4th weekend and holiday rotation required
  • On-call rotation included
  • Possible need to alternate shifts and flex hours to provide quality patient care
  • Performs CT procedures and may assist with radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable exams as needed
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and maintains IV access for procedures
  • Corroborates patient's clinical history and documents for use by radiologists
  • Provides practical instruction to students and partners
  • Follows universal protocol, standard precautions, and applies patient safety principles
  • Participates in equipment and supply decisions, and inventory control
  • Holiday and weekend coverage are required as part of the shift rotation
  • Flexibility to work overtime may be needed to support patient care needs

    • Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • Minimum of 2 years CT experience required
  • Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
  • State license required if applicable
