Security Officer - Unarmed Commercial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Commercial Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to everyone onsite. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with property management and / or law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
