We are looking for a dynamic Orderly / Transporter that will be responsible for keeping the Surgical Services Department clean and organized.
Transports patients to and from the OR. Takes specimens to the laboratory, picks up x-rays, charts etc. Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Job Duties / Responsibilities : Reviews the OR schedule for special equipment needs Monitors, orders and stacks linen on the linen cart in the sub sterile area for the day.
Keeps Dirty Utility Rooms, and Specimen Room organized and stocked with regular bags, red bags, paper products and cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Transports all patients safely on surgical stretcher or bed; siderails up, Brakes are applied when patient is transferred on and off the stretcher / bed.
