OverviewChestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist or Employment Technician to work at our Belleville, Illinois location while providing case management in the Metro East and St.

Louis, MO vicinity. Chestnut Vocational Services follow the evidenced base IPS (Individual and Placement and Supper Services) model.

IPS is based on the belief that anyone with a severe mental illness can maintain competitive employment in the community if the right type of job and work environment can be found.

  • ResponsibilitiesAn Ideal candidate for this positon will have these qualities : Hopeful about every person’s ability to succeed in an employment setting Believes that work can help people manage their mental illnesses Initiate and build relationships with employers Maintains relationships with Chestnut Staff engaged in continued services Qualifications Must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and have a strong interested in social services;
  • OR five years’ supervised mental health experience; OR bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field;

OR a bachelor’s degree in any other field plus 2 years’ supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting; OR Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) in good standing with the State of Illinois.

Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable. Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR).
