Schedule 3x12.0 shifts with D / E / N rotation, including holidays, on-call, and charge per unit needs. Job Description This position is for a Medical / Surgical Intensive Care Unit that primarily focuses on critically ill Neuro patients who require a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care. Patient diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. This is a brand new, state-of-the-art 12-bed ICU. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care for critically ill neuro patients. Monitor patient status and vital signs, and report changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care procedures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure RN License (New York State ONLY) Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in an ICU acute care setting. Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. Current knowledge of critical care practices. Telemetry experience required.
