Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Tulsa, OK area.
This position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to 7th-grade students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
- Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects and essential life skills, as well as social-emotional learning and behavior management.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Advocate for students' rights and access to appropriate educational opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or ability to obtain certification).
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of best practices in special education instruction, including differentiated instruction and assistive technology.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
