About The Position

Job Title : X-Ray Technologist

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Specialty : X-Ray

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Evening Shift

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting preferred.

License : Must be licensed by the State.

Certifications : ARRT, BLS.

Must-Have :

• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
• Experience in the OR and Fluoroscopy procedures.
• Good communication skills and empathy.
• Knowledge of specialized imaging technology, including how to operate and maintain it.
• Understanding of safety measures to prevent overexposure to radiation.
• Physical ability to position patients for quality imaging while ensuring comfort.
• Attention to detail in keeping accurate patient medical records.

Description :

Will be performing routine X-rays and fluoroscopy studies.

Common studies include UGI, Esophagram, and BE.

Involvement in IR procedures such as Arthrogram, Myelogram, and Nephrostomy.

Experience with Scoliosis and Leg Length Imaging is desired.

The department has 2 routine X-ray rooms, 1 fluoro room, and 1 specials room.

There is also a designated cystoscopy room.

Average number of scans / studies performed per day is approximately 120.

Familiarity with EMR and PACS is essential, specifically Meditech software.

Department-specific equipment includes GE OEC C-arms and Siemens Fluoroscopy Units.

There is no requirement to float or cover other areas.

Radiologists are present in-house.

No IVs are started for this position.

Weekend and holiday requirements are in place.

Scrubs must be black, and they are not provided.

Department-specific orientation will be required.
