Controls Design Engineer
What youll bedoing :
TheElectrical Controls / Design Engineer will design electrical machinecontrols for standard and custom packaging machines provideprogramming integration and communication for various PC s PLC sHMI s single and multiaxis servos VFD s and related components onstandard and custom packaging machines.
You will be working withthe Packaging Machinery and Automation (PM&A) Team based inOrlando FL where you will assist to develop equipment through theimplementation of immerging technologies and best in class controlsdesign practices.
Day to Dayduties :
Providestandard machinery controls design for solving our customerspackagingneeds.
Responsiblefor accuracy of calculations in reference to electrical andpneumatics required for designing automation mechanismsandequipment.
Createand maintain electrical bills of materials in a structured formatand submit to purchasing and production on the specificequipment.
Researchpurchased electrical components for adequate sizing and selectionof various electricaldevices.
By usingAutoCAD 2D develop working electrical layout drawings controlcabinet drawings and
pneumatic layoutdrawings for production and customer usage in componentidentification.
Assistin cost reduction and quality improvement of the electrical designsfor ourmachinery.
Understandcustomers electrical specifications and needs for their packagingoperations.
Assisttechnical writer in creation of machinedocumentation.
Provideprogramming for standard equipment upgrades and all custompackagingmachinery.
Participatein startup and commissioning of machinery in plant and occasionallyat customer sfacility.
Backgroundmatch :
BSDegree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University orequivalent combination of education andtechnical / professionalexperience.
Minimum3years experience in electrical / controls / programmingRequired
Preferredexperience in Electrical design of industrial automated machineryin AutoCADElectrical

- Highvoltage three phase and single phase (600V and lower)schematics

- Knowledge in NEC and NFPA 79standards.
