The Opportunity

The Compensation Team at The Aspen Group (TAG) plays a crucial role on our Total Rewards team, acting as a center of excellence.

We work in close partnership with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to develop and implement compensation strategies that align with TAG’s mission to support over 20,000 healthcare professionals across five consumer-facing brands : Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Lovet, and Chapter Aesthetic Studio.

Your Role at TAG

As a Compensation Manager, you will partner with various stakeholders to deliver competitive compensation solutions that attract and retain top talent.

You will collaborate closely to assess roles, benchmark salaries, and implement compensation programs that align with TAG’s strategic goals.

Additionally, you will play an integral role in enhancing the organization’s understanding of compensation practices through education and communication.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and leaders to perform job analysis, survey matching, and market research, ensuring compensation strategies are aligned with business needs.
  • Partner with various teams to design job architecture and compensation bands that align with career progression frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage, audit, and maintain bonus plan data in Workday, supporting annual processes.
  • Lead the annual merit program and oversee the delivery and maintenance of compensation cycles using Workday Advanced Compensation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage communication, training, reporting, and ensure accurate and effective processing.
  • Monitor changes in minimum wage regulations, update Workday with these changes, and inform the relevant business partners and leaders for appropriate communication.
  • Create impactful worksheets and presentations for leadership on compensation-related topics to support informed decision-making.
  • Participate in compensation benchmarking surveys and collaborate on the development of TAG's compensation philosophy to maintain market competitiveness, while creating and establishing Workday reports and processes to ensure effective survey completion.
  • Conduct pay equity analyses to ensure fair compensation practices across the organization.
  • Enhance compensation education and communication, fostering a collaborative approach to compensation-related processes.
  • Where necessary, assist Finance with incentive plan documentation, reporting, communications, and payout processes to align with company objectives.
  • Utilize people data (attrition, engagement, performance) alongside compensation surveys to craft compelling total rewards stories.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of compensation experience, including base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field; CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and administering job architecture and compensation bands.
  • Strong experience with compensation benchmarking systems and survey submissions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to convey data-driven insights and "tell a story" through data.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and build partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation is preferred.

Salary range : $110,000 - $130,000
