This is a casual position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Days are variable and there is a 2 weekend days a month requirement.

The Speech Pathologist provides evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapist’s respective licensure / registration / certification, Code of Ethics, Federal / State regulations, JCAHO / UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures.

Performs competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools. Demonstrates age specific care as established for area and job title.

Position Pay Range : $50.20-$74.47 / hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range.

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.

Required Experience / Specialized Skills :

• Must be able to have a variety of problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.

Required Certification / Registration :

• Speech Language Path License.
• AHA BLS.

Preferred Experience / Specialized Skills / Education / Course(s) / Training :

• 1-2 years experience preferred.
• Hospital experience.
