Role Overview :
Provide mobile ultrasound services in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites. Travel to locations in an automobile to perform examinations ordered by physicians.
Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Login for self-dispatching or call dispatch to obtain case information.
- Arrive at first case on time or leave home 30 minutes prior.
- Unload portable sonographic equipment and perform exams, ensuring clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.
- Perform and process ultrasounds using portable equipment and digitally send them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Check voicemails from client facilities and update dispatch or self-dispatch system every 30 minutes.
- Follow company dress code, wear uniform and name tag, carry company phone, and respond to urgent communications within 15 minutes.
- Verify physician orders against patient charts before performing exams; document patient identifiers and nurse verification if necessary.
- Facility staff provide patient transfers, positioning, and support; sonographers do not perform these activities.
- Maintain required medical physical exams, TB screening, and annual infection control in-service; provide documentation to HR within two weeks of last exam.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and billing daily per protocol.
- Communicate efficiently with dispatch, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
- Maintain vehicle and sonographic equipment.
- Uphold high standards of medical ethics, professionalism, and continued education.
- Pay all traffic or parking violations incurred with company vehicles.
- Adhere to drug-free workplace policies and conduct themselves professionally.
- Train other technologists as required.
- Complete and pass background check and drug screening.
- Perform basic smartphone and computer operations, including printing, scanning, and emailing documents.
- Maintain knowledge of regions, geography, and travel routes.
Physical Demands :

Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound (Echo / Vascular must; General preferred).Maintain all required certifications, registries, health, and operational requirements; provide copies to employer as requested.Valid driver’s license at all times; periodic license checks will occur.COVID-19 vaccination required (exemption documentation accepted).Certification Requirements :
