Compensation :  $100K-110K salary, plus equity

Reports to : Financial Controller

Location : Boulder, or remote with periodic travel

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Manager will be focused on day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close. This is a hands-on role, best suited for someone who enjoys balancing transactional work with process improvement and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Financial Controller and work closely with each cross-functional department. This is a unique opportunity for a finance professional who finds purpose in making a direct, daily impact in a fast-paced organization.

KEY  RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounting Operations : Steward daily and weekly routines for payables and receivables including processing vendor payments, customer deductions, and cash applications.
  • Month-end Close : Work with the Financial Controller to develop and execute a monthly period close exercise including system management, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Systems & Process Development : Play a key role in the ongoing development of business processes in our new instance of NetSuite. Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and analyze financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including variance analysis and performance insights. Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decision making
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting / finance; ideally in public accounting or CPG accounting and finance
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication skills; collaborative team player
  • Experience with AR, AP, and inventory management
  • Strong excel skills
  • GL systems experience. NetSuite a plus
