Description
The Senior Finance Manager provides financial analytical support to the Consumer Business Unit and oversee all costs and expenses for the P&L.
Partners with BU Marketing, Sales Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial Sales, Business Unit Leadership, and other internal / external departments to facilitate Business decisions and develop Business strategies to increase profitability and optimize resources through analytical and financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Support all marketing promotional activities; provides key decision support through analytical modeling regarding business strategies and resource utilization;
serves as a liaison between Finance and the Consumer Marketing team relating to P&L considerations and financial impact of business decisions.
Work with external vendors on cost planning.
Prepares and presents project analysis outcomes to a diverse group of internal stakeholders in order to help make business decisions and strategies;
clearly justifies analytical outcomes (help break down complex modeling process, various inputs and outputs) to build management confidence with business decisions
- Proactively identifies potential data and analytical needs of internal customers to overall business objectives
- Manages yearly budget and monthly forecasting process for COGS and OPEX
- Works closely with the Financial Planning Team to ensure business P&L forecasts are accurate and that risks and opportunities vs.
budget and latest trends are properly quantified and identified during business reviews
- Initiates and facilitates investigation of variances trends, cost trends and performs related analysis.
- Develops profitability analysis as it relates to coupons & measures ROI (return on investment) for various business initiatives
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA, graduate degree or advanced certification (CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of related financial management experience within a corporate environment with proven track record of documented success;
experience may include (but is not limited to) financial planning, forecasting, etc.
- Related experience within the CPG industry strongly preferred.
- Must have hands-on financial forecasting experience.
- Must have experience in analyzing and interpreting large sets of data and drawing conclusions in order to make business recommendations to internal customers.
- Must have leadership experience with budget planning, tracking and / or accountability.
- Must be proficient with MS Office.
- Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, and / or Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills and have a successful track record of effectively working with cross-functional teams
