Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hospice position requiring a minimum of two years of acute care experience and an active or applied-for WA RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a home health hospice setting
  • Day shift position with a 5x8 schedule, 7 : 00am–3 : 00pm
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks
  • Candidates may be asked to float to different units as needed
  • Provide end-of-life hospice care to patients in their homes
  • Return staff must have at least a one-year separation from the health system before returning as a traveler
  • Modules are not required for this assignment
  • Some holiday coverage may be required depending on unit needs
  • All time off requests must be presented prior to signing the contract

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in Oregon or proof of application for WA RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Must have prior hospice experience if applying as a first-time traveler
  • Must be fully vaccinated, COVID booster not required
  • Two professional references from the last two years, including at least one supervisor reference, required
  • Candidates must not reside within 60 miles of the facility location
  • No more than one DUI on record will be accepted
