Vice President, Portfolio Management - LIHTC (Denver)

Macdonald and Company are proudly partnered with a privately held investment manager active nationwide, providing equity financing for affordable housing communities and overseeing a large portfolio of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit assets through all stages of development and stabilization. The firm are growing their Portfolio Management team and seek a Vice President of Portfolio Management to join the group.

The Role

The VP of Portfolio Management will manage a portfolio of LIHTC properties across all stages of the asset lifecycle, and be responsible for interacting with developers and investors regarding all asset management functions.

Role Responsibilities

• Monitor construction progress, track lease-up, evaluate tax credit adjusters, ensure compliance with tax credit regulations (in coordination with the internal compliance team), review financial performance (budgets, monthly and quarterly results, annual audits and tax filings), oversee permanent loan conversions, and monitor insurance coverage.
• Draft and deliver property-level reporting for both internal stakeholders and external investors.
• Conduct on-site visits to evaluate asset and operational performance.
• Administer and track capital contributions for designated assets.
• Support senior leadership by providing asset-level recommendations.
• Assist with the enhancement of the firms proprietary database and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
