Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer II

We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Vice President, Full Stack Engineer to join our Growth Ventures FinTech team.

This role is located in Lake Mary, Florida

This will be a hybrid position, three days per week in the office.

What we do :

Growth Ventures is the Bank’s division for managing and building data and software-led businesses, including our market-leading data and analytics business with nearly $ trillion in financial assets under data management.

Growth Ventures, building on this foundation and in partnership with other businesses including Investment Management, Asset Servicing, and Pershing, is bringing to market a new software-led, API-first solution for the alternative investment and wealth management ecosystems.

The new business will leverage, connect and enhance existing strengths while also developing market-first solutions that provide a one-of-a-kind experience for partners and clients.

The market being targeted is measured in trillions of dollars with revenue pools in billions, yet it is generally considered a nascent space on the precipice of growth.

And while we are building from a robust foundation and position of strength, this is very much an entrepreneurial opportunity to innovate and create new products, new solutions, and a new business.

Key Role Responsibilities :

We are looking for a full-stack engineer to join a newly created team and work end-to-end on creating the new digital solution.

This role will work closely with other engineers and our product team throughout the software development process, providing feedback to design and requirements, reviewing work in progress, and addressing issues found in manual testing.

The role encompasses :

• Design and implement scalable client-side and server-side architecture
• Participate pair-programming, and provide technical leadership to motivate and guide team members
• Lead technical discussions and provide technical oversight (including code reviews) to the development work from the team
• Foster a culture of learning, innovating, and continuous improvement
• Promote best engineering practices to deliver software via rapid iterations and frequent releases
• Work with product managers and UX designers to provide feedback to product roadmap, requirements, and UX designs
• Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings and other Agile ceremonies
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure timely delivery across all the systems at the program level
• Coach and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
• A minimum of years of full stack technical experience building enterprise SaaS solutions
• years of Python / Java / Spring Boot development experience, including microservices and event-driven architecture implementation
• years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
• years of test automation development using Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar. Experience with Test-Driven-Development is preferred.
• years of experience in modelling with NoSQL database
• Experience in Agile methodologies, either Sprint or Kanban
• Hands-on experience with release management and CICD deployment workflow processes, from development release through production deployment
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies KS, Azure / AWS, etc.
• Strong technical and communication skills required
• Knowledge and experience in financial services or fintech is preferred
