We are seeking a Vice President to join our Finance & Accounting team. This person will play an essential role in managing and evolving operations, processes, strategies, and other initiatives of the Company's subsidiary, TGL.
This role will be responsible for owning and managing various Finance and Accounting Operations including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and technical accounting research on various topics, including revenue recognition.
This role will be both strategic and hands-on in owning the development and implementation of innovative Finance and Accounting Operations to support our rapidly scaling business.
Serving as a senior leader within the broader organization, this person will build solid relationships with the external TGL teams and with internal stakeholders to build a Finance and Accounting operation that supports various business needs.
Responsibilities
- Own the TGL accounting and financial reporting, budgeting and modeling processes
- Partner with external firm to manage and execute annual audit
- Collaborate with broader Finance and Accounting team to ensure financial goals and progress are clearly tracked and communicated
- Automate and improve workflows and processes, creating SOP's and process efficiencies as we scale and grow our business
- Design dashboards that summarize financial data at a glance for the Finance and Accounting function
- Work cross-functionally to establish and maintain relationships with business leaders in order to determine Finance and Accounting Operations needs and implement corresponding processes and procedures
- Support business leaders with ad hoc requests and special projects that support business initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA a plus
- CPA required
- 10+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including leadership roles in both areas
- Experience researching, documenting and implementing complex technical accounting guidance
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to build credibility through influence, consulting and collaboration
- Proven success in leading operational improvements
- Tech-savvy with strong computer skills and ability to work meaningfully with data
- High integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
- Exceptional organizational, time management, communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience working in a start-up environment experience a plus
