Job Overview : Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in Davenport, Iowa. This direct hire position will provide electrical engineering services to the Ingot Finishing Department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production, maintenance, and engineering processes.
The role is critical to the efficiency, output, and quality of processes and involves responsibility for electrical systems integration and equipment upgrades.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate all phases of assigned electrical engineering projects, from concept to project closure.
- Lead and participate in problem-solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance, and production teams.
- Use PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and provide solutions to improve process performance.
- Create and develop electrical control solutions to support process improvements and enhance equipment reliability.
- Assist production and maintenance teams with equipment and process issues.
- Lead PLC / HMI and control system redesigns and upgrades for existing processes.
- Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment.
- Mentor employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and processes as needed.
- Provide off-hours support as required.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 year of experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC / DC drives motors, measuring devices, and Ethernet cameras.
- Proficiency with Rockwell programming software (e.g., RS Logix and FactoryView).
- 3 or more years of experience leading electrical projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project programs.
