The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, is recruiting a full-time Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant.

Rank is commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions

  • Perform daily research experiments.
  • Data acquisition and analysis.
  • Assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
  • Apply research principles for various assignments.
  • Accomplish assigned results for projects / studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments.
  • Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Minimum Requirements

Research Assistant : Required Education

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.

OR -

Senior Research Assistant :

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.

  • Atmospheric Conditions : Conditions that affect the respiratory system, such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
