A mid-sized law firm in the Boston area is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join their Tax Services team.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
This individual is responsible for the accurate preparation and timely filing of fiduciary (trust and estates), charitable, partnership and personal tax returns.
They will also provide back up support and report into the Director of Tax Services. This role offers hybrid flexibility, with the option to work remotely 2 days a week from May through December.
During the busy season (January through April), work may range up to a maximum of approximately 55 hours per week, with a remote option on Saturday.
This is a salary position offering a range between $70,000 and $140,000.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Skills and Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2-3+ years of professional experience (will accept co-op, internship experience in Taxation / Accounting)
- Proven experience with all phases of accurate tax preparation, tax problem analysis / resolution, and timely filing
- Ability to work on complex tax preparations with minimal direct supervision
- Master's Degree in Taxation (preferred)
- Experience with ProSystem-fx and Onesource Trust Tax software
- Experience working in public accounting
