JOB DESCRIPTION
Department : Nursing Administration
Shift Timings : 18 : 45 - 07 : 15 Hours Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hours shift
Per Week : 36 Hours
This is a busy post operative unit. They have 30 beds Nurse / Patient ratio is 1-5 on day shift and 1 / 5-6 on night shift.
We see post op general surgery patients and post op thoracotomy patients. BCLS required, every other weekend, minimum of 2 winter holidays
Responsibilities
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current Med / Surg experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
Active unencumbered Alabama RN state license
One year of Epic experience
Requirements
