Toledo Clinic's Family Medicine and Psychiatry practice located on Sylvania Ave in Sylvania OH is seeking a full-time RMA / CMA / CCMA.
This position will have both clinical and clerical MA responsibilities. The hours are Monday / Tuesday / Thursday (8 : 15-5 : 00), Wednesday (8 : 15-4 : 00) and Friday (8 : 15-2 : 00) .
This position offers employee benefits and no weekends or holidays.
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex : RMA / CMA / CCMA / CPCT / A).
For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified.
After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants / Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
General Summary :
Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities : 1.Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e. : assisting with minor procedures / surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.
2.Various clerical duties (i.e. : answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).3.Escorting patients to exam room.
4.Preparing exam rooms.5.Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e. : histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).6.Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
7.At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.8.Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
9.Follow up with lab work and / or duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Required : - Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. - Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e. : CMA or RMA) Education : -Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.
Preferred : - Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
