Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Accountant, Statutory and Legal Entity Reporting to join our Accounting team.

About the role

The Associate, Financial Reporting executes statutory legal entity reports. This includes the preparation of statutory financial exhibits and footnotes, analytics, audited financial statements and supplemental filings.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Statutory and Legal Entity Reporting.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week.

Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

Pay Transparency :

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is : $93,600 - $122,850 per year.

The base pay for this role in all other locations is : $84,240 - $110,565 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Complete the monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory (and stand-alone legal entity) reporting processes, including analytics and related financial statement disclosures.
  • Complete work related to the statutory audit efforts.
  • Work on process improvement opportunities.
  • Work with Regulatory Relations and other teams across the Organization to respond to regulator inquiries.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience on an accounting or reporting team.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company.
  • Experience with US-based insurance companies.
  • Practical experience in statutory reporting.
  • Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA).

Pay Transparency : Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
