Manufacturing Production Lead - Located in Grafton,ND

Job Overview :

Reporting to a supervisor, the Lead provides first-leveldirection and hour-to-hour supervision, giving work assignments andchecking the work of employees.

The Lead knows the processes andhow to get work completed. Coordinates department activities tomaintain standards of safety, quality, delivery and production.

TheLead assists the supervisor with leadership of the department inorder to meet company goals and objectives.

• Coaches operators to elevate performance andeffectiveness
• Encourage and motivateemployees
• Resolves employee issues as theyarise
• Hold employeesaccountable for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Production performancemeasures
• Overseeing the manufacturingprocesses
• Understands department’s production area opportunitiesand challenges
• Plan and communicate daily crew assignments, monitor jobrotation, ensure training isprovided
• Monitor and adjust process to ensure even productflow
• Daily management of work cells to meet metrics goals anddepartment metrics
• Coordinate work to meet Deliveryobjectives
• Work Load Balancing to ensure even flowing process- labor
• Responsible for cross training to enable labormovement
• Plan and communicate crewing and jobassignments
• Reinforce and implement improvements and wasteelimination initiatives
• Identify and communicate obstructions to meeting dailygoals
• Ensure all safety policies & practices arefollowed

You're a good fit ifyou have (or if you can) :

• High school diploma or GEDpreferred.
• Previous management or coordinationexperience
