Summer Internships : Monday, May 19,2025 ( 40 / hours per week max)
ASoftware Engineer Intern implements developer tools or productfeatures on a rapid-release cycle. This person works in an agiledevelopment methodology to conduct code reviews and unit tests.
What You'llDo
- Implements developertools or product features under the direction of a seniordeveloper
- Track job assignments and completestatus updates using internal tools
- Work in anAgile development methodology, attends standups, defines userstories, and implements developmenttasks
- Complete code reviews and unittests
What You'llNeed
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in adegree-seeking program, preferably in Software Engineering.Computer Science, or related program
- A solidfoundation in computer science, with competencies in datastructures, algorithms, and object-oriented softwaredesign
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience in one or more ofPython, Go, Java, C / C++ / C#, Dart orJavaScript
- Additional exposure to clientframeworks like React or Angular, Google App Engine, Amazon EC2,database design, knowledge of HTTP and web protocols are a plus.
Based on team assignment, mayrequire / prefer
- Passion for writing software andlearning the latest software developmenttechniques
- Excellent verbal, written, andinterpersonal communicationskills
- Self-motivated with strong propensityfor action, results and continuousimprovement
- The ability to work successfully ina high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment isnecessary
- Exceptional organizational skillswith the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes,programs, and procedures simultaneously while working underpressure to meetdeadlines
TravelRequirements & WorkingConditions
- Minimaltravel
- Reliable internet access for any periodof time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
- Must be authorized to work in the UnitedStates and not require sponsorship now or in the future
