The Opportunity

The Role

The eDiscovery Senior Analyst will be part of the New York Digital Legal Delivery team, working closely with Senior Managers, Managers, Analysts, Legal Review Attorneys, instructing case teams, and clients as needed.

The primary responsibility of Senior eDiscovery Analysts will be executing technical solutions in adherence to best practices, administering our in-house discovery platform, and supporting platforms provided by third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities :

Working under the direction of the Digital Legal Delivery Senior Manager (and in collaboration with the other eDiscovery Senior Analyst) to identify and understand client needs, assisting with the execution of the recommended technical solutions and supporting with the delivery of an effective solution throughout the life of a matter.

On a daily basis this will include being responsible for :

  • Processing data (Relativity processing experience is required)
  • Ingesting / uploading data into Relativity and
  • Running searches across Relativity workspaces
  • Creating review batches and coding layouts in Relativity
  • Preparing productions and exports from Relativity
  • Administering Relativity and supporting end-users

Maintaining project files including preparing file notes, memoranda, minutes of meetings, instructions, tracking materials, and communications with the legal teams and clients as appropriate.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Essential

  • Must have 4+ years eDiscovery data processing, loading, search and data analytics practice (law firm or service provider).
  • Deep experience with eDiscovery technology, specifically with Relativity (and RelativityOne), with an emphasis on data processing, data ingestion, database setup, searching and productions.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, including effective collaboration with case teams, eDiscovery team, and service providers.
  • Experience working within a similar team at the required level.
  • Expertise supporting document reviews and case work.
  • A curious mind and solutions oriented approach to providing client service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to QC the work of colleagues

Desirable

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent technical, computer science / information technology-based training
  • Experience related to eDiscovery and other Litigation Support processes.
  • Industry knowledge or, experience of working in a professional services environment within a technology role would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with a proactive approach to dealing with multiple projects to very strict deadlines. Able to manage and resolve problems effectively, dealing confidently and concisely with internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the approach required to working in a global team including navigating different communication styles, working styles, and time zone challenges.
  • Ability to think strategically and ensure that continuous process improvement is formally documented, implemented and disseminated.
  • Relativity processing specialist certification, Relativity Certified Administration certification, or Nuix Data Discovery Specialist Certification

Salary :

The salary range for this role is $100-115k. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as education, experience, knowledge and skills.
