The Intelligent System Experience Special Projects team explores and prototypes new, novel, and paradigm-shifting ideas in system experience, with emphasis on motivating future technologies in computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, input, sense, and system intelligence.

Description
Our team is seeking extraordinary machine learning engineers who are passionate about creating intelligent and natural system experiences.
This role will encompass all stages of incubation including ideation, development, and experimentation. Work includes designing high-performance machine learning models to enable new system experiences in concert with designers, software / hardware engineers, and applied R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Masters or PhD in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Computer Science or related field with 4+ years experience.
- Experience delivering consumer-facing solutions to new industry problems at scale.
- Proficiency in C, C++ or Python.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong and proven research and software development skills.
- Deep understanding of machine learning concepts.
- Experience with and knowledge of a wide variety of machine learning libraries / packages.
- Creative, collaborative, and product-focused.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
