Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and involves supporting key financial operations within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and systems, as well as experience managing reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. This role will be hybrid onsite three days a week.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review journal entries for corporate functions, including cash flow, accrued liabilities, insurance reserves, prepaids, and foreign exchange.
• Manage inventory-related journal entries, such as revaluation and consignment transactions.
• Handle intercompany journal entries, including cross charges and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards, providing detailed variance analysis and commentary.
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Present variance explanations during monthly reviews of actual financial results.
• Support compliance requirements by addressing audit requests related to SOX 404.
• Maintain necessary controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless month-end close processes.
• Utilize systems like SAP S / 4HANA, HFM, and PeopleSoft to efficiently manage financial tasks.
