A Team Member at Checkers Restaurant plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations, primarily focusing on customer service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
As the frontline team member, the crew member ensures customers have a positive dining experience.
Key responsibilities include :
Customer Service : Taking orders, greeting customers with a friendly attitude, and ensuring that their dining experience is positive.
Crew members often work the counter or drive-thru and ensure that customers’ needs are met promptly and accurately.
Food Preparation : Preparing food items according to Checkers’ recipes and standards. This includes cooking, assembling burgers, frying, and other kitchen tasks, all while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Cleanliness and Maintenance : Keeping the restaurant clean by maintaining the dining area, kitchen, restrooms, and workstations.
This includes wiping down surfaces, disposing of trash, and ensuring that health regulations are met.
Teamwork : Collaborating with other crew members to ensure that service runs smoothly and efficiently, especially during peak hours.
Helping with tasks as needed to support other team members.
Order Accuracy : Ensuring that orders are prepared correctly, packaged, and delivered to the customers in a timely manner, whether through the counter, drive-thru, or for online orders.
Cash Handling : Operating the register, handling cash and credit card transactions, and ensuring proper change is given to customers.
Following procedures to ensure cash handling accuracy.
Positive Attitude : Maintaining a friendly and approachable attitude toward both customers and colleagues, contributing to a positive work environment.
