Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney - Chicago
Our client, a leading global law firm with a strong presence in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney to support their M&A group.
This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of their attorneys through comprehensive resource management.
The client is renowned for working with a diverse range of clients, from entrepreneurs and emerging companies to Fortune 50 corporations.
They handle transformative deals, complex intellectual property, regulatory matters, and high-stakes litigation. The firm is committed to delivering the highest quality work and superior service, continually staying at the forefront of the business and legal landscape.
Tasks
- Manage and maintain the M&A transaction database, inputting deal terms and coordinating audits.
- Draft and manage template documents, forms, and precedents for the M&A group.
- Monitor and summarize legal and regulatory developments related to M&A, ensuring updates are reflected in practice resources.
- Collaborate with the legal education team to develop content for associate training.
- Assist the marketing team with M&A promotions and content creation for pitches and teach-ins.
- Respond to day-to-day requests from attorneys for resources and templates.
- Participate in resource and knowledge management projects.
Requirements
- A licensed attorney with at least 7 years of experience in a U.S. M&A corporate / transactional practice.
- Strong understanding of public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends.
- Strong preference for candidates from AMLaw 100 / AMLaw 200 firms
- Excellent drafting and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Benefits
The expected annual salary range for this position is $275,000 - $335,000, depending on location, experience, and skillset.
