The HR Solutions Analyst - Germany Payroll (m / f / d) is responsible for the proper processing of monthly payroll accounting in accordance with legal, collective agreement and company guidelines. In addition, this position supports the TR & Payroll Operations Leader EMEAI (m / f / d) in all relevant projects for payroll accounting and the HR Solutions Team in personnel administration processes. The focus of this position is on payroll accounting. Tasks that primarily require specialist knowledge of payroll accounting are performed independently within the framework of general guidelines, while at the same time working closely with the HR Solutions Team.

  • Independent and autonomous processing of monthly payroll accounting for employees at the Leverkusen site in close cooperation with the current payroll provider
  • Ensuring timely, accurate and efficient processing of monthly payroll accounting
  • Act as the technical contact for the various working time models in day and shift work and remuneration methods, taking into account collective bargaining, operational, labour, tax and social security regulations
  • Act as the contact for managers and employees on questions relating to payroll accounting, including time management, as well as general questions on collective agreements, HR guidelines, processes and works agreements
  • Independent processing of sick pay supplements, one-off payments, anniversary bonuses, monetary benefits for company cars, contributions to company pension schemes, etc.
  • Implementation of payroll accounting for expatriate employees in close cooperation with the current payroll provider and the Global Mobility Team
  • Independent processing of error logs and making and initiating necessary adjustments and changes
  • Correspondence with pension and health insurance companies, insurance companies, government agencies, authorities and service providers
  • Support in clarifying difficult questions regarding income tax and / or social security law issues as well as labour law issues
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team and the current payroll provider to ensure that interfaces function as expected
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to review and implement system updates in Workday and other system interfaces that affect payroll
  • Contribute ideas for improving programmes, policies and payroll process management to increase the efficiency of processes and systems
  • Represent the HR Solution Analysts and Payroll Operations Leader (m / f / d) in their absence
  • Independently and autonomously process monthly closing tasks, such as reconciling personnel accounts with financial accounting
  • Responsible for generating and preparing personnel costs in relation to provisions as part of monthly and annual closing tasks
  • Creating and analysing ad hoc and standard evaluations and performing data validations with Excel
  • Supporting enquiries as part of regular audits (e.g. IATF, ISO9000, K-SOX) and regulatory reviews
  • Supporting process documentation and the annual review of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborating on local and global HR projects
  • Supporting local negotiations on payroll issues
  • Supporting monthly European payroll processes in close cooperation with HR solution analysts, people operations managers and EU payroll providers
  • Supporting the implementation of administrative personnel management processes for the entire employee life cycle (recruitment, salary adjustments, transfers, absences and resignations)
  • Preparation of reports, certificates, contract documents and general correspondence
  • Ensuring that the areas of responsibility specified in this job description are implemented in accordance with the requirements of the quality management system to meet DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2015 requirements

Minimum Requirements :

  • management, economics with a focus on human resources management and proven experience in payroll accounting; alternatively, certified payroll accountant or tax clerk with several years of professional experience in payroll accounting
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in payroll accounting, preferably in an international company in the chemical industry
  • In-depth experience with payroll accounting systems, applications and platforms in the field of HR
  • In-depth and practical knowledge of income tax, social security, collective bargaining agreements, works agreements and labour law
  • Experience with time management programmes
  • High level of analytical skills and results-oriented behaviour
  • Structured, independent and meticulous way of working
  • Ability to hold yourself and others accountable
  • Team spirit and strong service orientation
  • Strong communication skills and confident manner
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment
  • Very good MS Office skills (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in German and good written and spoken English
  • Preferred :

  • Experience in payroll accounting in the chemical industry
  • Experience with calculating shift allowances
  • Experience and process knowledge in international human resources and accounting
  • Knowledge of collective agreements in the chemical industry
  • Experience with Workday
  • Knowledge of SAGE applications
