job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork as a float RN in the PCU Float Pool within a hospital setting May float to any stepdown or PCU areas, including other campuses such as Ross Heart, Brain & Spine, and Dodd Assigned to night shifts with a schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Estimated patient ratio is 1 : 3-4 Duties include IV starts and telemetry monitoring Epic charting system is used and prior experience is required Candidates may be required to float to equivalent or lower acuity units across multiple campuses A fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon offer acceptance, with specific instructions provided Night and holiday coverage may be required as part of the schedule Locals are accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Current employees are not eligible to be hired as travelers at any Ohio State University hospital location All requested time off must be included at the time of application Active OH state or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of PCU or stepdown experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficiency in IV start and telemetry skills required Experience with Epic EMR required Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program is required Submission must include two professional references, with at least one from a supervisor or manager Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
