The role focuses on providing operations with the vision, technology, and expertise required for a successful production process and coordinating with cross-functional teams across multiple program lines.

Job Details

Job Title : Manager, Manufacturing Engineer

Location : USA-NH-Londonderry - Akira Way

Job Schedule : 9 / 80 – employees work 9 out of every 14 days (80 hours total) with every other Friday off

Essential Functions

  • Reporting to the Sr Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, lead maintenance activities within a team of preventative maintenance engineers and technicians
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, production) to establish a proactive maintenance culture to improve productivity and minimize downtime
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues
  • Coordinate external suppliers or contractors for specialized maintenance
  • Monitor KPIs such as equipment downtime, preventive to corrective maintenance ratios, MTTR, MTBF
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of related experience; Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of related experience
  • Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience leading and motivating a team to meet departmental goals
  • Experience deploying preventative maintenance teams and strategies
  • Track record working in cross-functional teams and influencing organizational change
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive innovation
  • Effective communication skills to build a cohesive team and collaborate with other departments
