Collins Aerospace in Spokane, WA is looking for a highly motivated Data Analytics intern for the summer of 2025 to develop data-informed methods, models, and tools that will support production planning.

This position is an excellent opportunity to develop your ability to transform big data from multiple sources into meaningful insights that inform operations decisions.

You will develop visualizations, dashboards, and applications to clearly communicate trends in manufacturing inventory, cycle times, cost, and schedules with support from an experienced data analytics mentor.

This position will provide opportunities to work closely with operations management, the production planning team, and engineering, allowing you to connect with leaders in multiple disciplines.

Collins Aerospace (an RTX company) is one of the word’s largest and most advanced suppliers of aerospace and defense products.

The Spokane location is one of three facilities which manufacture advanced carbon composites for use in aircraft brakes.

This role is onsite, in Spokane, Washington.

What You Will Do :

• Collaborate with engineers and operations managers to complete data analytics projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop data-informed methods, models, and tools to support effective production planning.
• Create clear data visualizations and dashboards to communicate critical product, process, and inventory data to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify, automate, and streamline repetitive data gathering and analysis tasks.
• Document best practices for data gathering, analysis, and communication.

Qualifications You Must Have :

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer :

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s program in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a similar field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong foundation in SQL querying and Python.
• Experience with data analysis tools and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, etc.
• Understanding of descriptive statistics and data visualization methods.
