RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - ED

Job Details :

Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM

13-week assignment with immediate start date available

Minimum 1+ years ED RN experience in hospital setting required

Must have at least 1+ year of travel experience

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Required clinical skills : Triage, PIV, Port access / de-access, foley placement, NG / OG placement, wound care, splint / OCL application

US guided IV experience preferred

Handle 4-5 : 1 patient ratio with ESI level 3 average patients

Care for patients of all ages from neonates to elderly (ESI levels 1-5)

Manage stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients

Assist with arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement

Responsible for answering call lights and patient transport

Board psychiatric patients in ED until placement is found

Make calls for psychiatric patient placement on nights and weekends

Required to float to other departments when not needed in ED (average 1 shift per 13-week period)

Mix medication drips with vial to bag adapter on night shift

Complete appropriate EMTALA paperwork per regulatory guidelines

Use EDIS Medhost EMR system and Omnicell medication dispense system

No bar code medication administration scanning currently in ED

Blocked scheduling may be requested
