The Scrum Master will support a project to modernize the customer's data collection processes by transitioning from over 200 outdated and siloed systems to an integrated, agile, and secure enterprise platform.

This new system will streamline census data management, survey operations, and data collection activities while maintaining high standards for data integrity and security.

The platform will ensure that all collected data is readily available, easily accessible, and optimized for efficient integration into downstream processes for analysis and reporting.

Duties and responsibilities include :

  • Oversees the Scrum and development teams.
  • Create and onboard project teams and integrates them into the organization.
  • Provide a clear vision of the product for the Scrum team.
  • Leads and coaches team in Agile methodology and Scrum.
  • Help the product owner maintain the product backlog.
  • Remove impediments for the scrum team.
  • Track velocity to help the team be more productive.
  • Monitor project progress, provides real-time feedback, and drives agility culture.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings.
  • Lead Scrum team in analysis of user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure user stories follow the INVEST criteria for user story quality and acceptance criteria are testable.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Remove barriers between the stakeholders and the Scrum team.

Required Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of experience managing Agile and Scrum projects.
  • Certified Scrum Master.
  • Prior USDA NASS experience.

Education Requirement : Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

Clearance Requirement : Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

This position is contingent upon future contract award to Gunnison.
